Monday Monthly: Reconciliation: “If one person keeps calm and smiles at a provocation, the whole world will have a better chance for peace”

November’s Monday Monthly’s theme is how we reconcile ourselves to both the realities we face in this polycrisis and the emotions generated by these realities. We will explore how it is to practise reconciliation in our daily lives.

One of our written resources, inspired by the Deep Adaptation work of Jem Bendell will be our starting point. It explores some of our own experiences of (not) being able to reconcile ourselves to what is here, and the impact our state can have on our ability to appropriately respond to the present and coming challenges. You are also invited to reflect on the theme for yourself.

The resource will be emailed to you shortly after you book. We suggest you allocate around 30 mins to read and reflect on it, ahead of the session.

When we gather, we’ll share ideas and experiences, inquire further into the nature and qualities of reconciliation being called in by the polycrisis and, perhaps, generate fresh insights for our best adaptive leadership responses.

We look forward to welcoming you.

The quote in the title is Thich Nhat Hanh’s.
