The Invention of Nature

Elegantly written, engaging introductory account of the man who first suggested may organisms are inter-related, and so conceptualised the field ‘ecology’. He wrote using both scientific observation and emotional feeling; this book encourages me to continue to value and bring all aspects of my life together, rather that reduce it to constituent parts. Fascinating to ground our work today in what he discovered and deduced whilst travelling in South America – including human-induced climate change, in 1800!
