Are you looking to have more effective, inclusive conversations about the future? Do you want to map systemically the changes you wish to create, and become better equipped to turn insights into action?
This programme brings together the world-leading Three Horizons approach with our Four Pathways to Spirited Leadership, supporting leaders to connect with their agency and find pathways through complex, uncertain territory.
Deeply exploring the transformations that need to occur in our organisations and communities, we prepare to work generatively with the different voices of continuity and change. With a commitment to learning our way into the future we wish to see, we formulate and review creative leadership experiments throughout the programme.
What can I expect?
You will be invited to bring a live transformation project and real time challenges to the table, exploring your organisation’s strategic imperatives in the context of creating a regenerative future. To support you in developing helpful new thinking, language and practices in your organisation or community as a result of the programme, we suggest you join with at least one other colleague.
Through a combination of facilitator input and highly interactive sessions, you will:
Learn Three Horizons thinking and practices, including how to give equal voice to diverse individual contributions
Build your own Three Horizons map
Develop your narrative and story of change
Learn practices for working constructively with the different voices of continuity and change, catalysing more generative relationships
Distinguish between innovation that sustains the status quo or fosters transformative innovation
Turn insights into action, creating and reviewing next step plans as part of an iterative action-learning approach.
Learning alongside other leaders seeking to transform structures, products, mindsets, processes and culture, you will have the chance to share experiences and insights. By connecting with others, as part of a growing movement of people committed to working in service to regenerative futures, we also hope you will feel encouraged and supported.

What format will the programme take?
This online programme comprises three 3 hour sessions held over three weeks. Zoom and Miro are used to create our virtual classroom. There are two optional 1 hour Q&A sessions between main workshops, to deepen exploration of the materials, get feedback and keep developing your ideas.
Who will facilitate?
Our 3H work is co-led by Kirstin Irving and James Barlow. With long-standing experience of consulting within and to corporations and other organisations, Kirstin and James have worked with 3H for many years, including alongside one of its creators and promoter-in-chief, Bill Sharpe. They understand the challenges of transformative change, including what it takes to hold a vision and work collaboratively, through messiness and confusion, to realise it.
Note: We expect to run our Three Horizons programmes on a rolling basis. Contact us via info@leadingthroughstorms.org to ensure you receive news of future dates.
