Monday Monthly: Regenerative Activism

Activists work in often extremely difficult contexts and face enormous challenges. From meeting daily the injustices, losses and suffering in the world around us as well as feeling our own fears, frustrations, anger and isolation and it can result in a perfect storm of mental and physical illnesses.

Regenerative activism is much more than finding ways to do our work sustainably. Like all regenerative processes, it requires deep listening and finding ways to restore and revitalise ourselves, and creating a context where we and those around us can thrive and flourish.

How can we engage in activism, as the important act of leadership for the long haul in ways that enable us to be nourished, inspired and creative?

How can we stay connected to what we love without becoming desensitised and numbed?

In this Monday Monthly we will be focusing on the pathway ‘training body and mind’, introducing an embodied practice and inquiring as to what might truly support more regenerative activism personally and collectively. It’s a big and important topic. We look forward to being in circle with you.
